What We Believe

A note from our pastor.

On behalf of the community of faith known as the Bremerton Church of the Nazarene, I would like to welcome you. We are excited that you have chosen to visit this site and trust that you will find pertinant information that will help you in your journey of faith.

We believe our mission is clear. God has called us to be active in making 'Christlike disciples'. For that to be accomplished we are giving our energy to 'Cultivating a Passion for Jesus', 'Living winsome lives of Spiritual Integrity' and 'Expressing Radical Love and Good Deeds that Touch those around us and the World'.
In John 8:31-32 Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." We want to 'Experience that Freedom'.

• That we can know the One God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
• That the Bible is inspired by God and contains everything we need to live a life that pleases Him and will lead us to heaven
• That all of us are born with a desire to live selfishly which we call 'sin'.
• That Jesus' death on the cross and ressurection demonstrate God's love for us and provides the means by which we can be forgiven of our sins and be restored into a relationship to Him.
• That we have a choice regarding whether or not we will receive of the gift of salvation that Jesus provides.
• That by putting our faith in Jesus we can begin a journey whereby we not only grow in 'Christlike' character but learn to love our 'neighbors' within the world.
• That all those who live for Jesus have an eternal future with Him.
